Kristine Rommel Meets Classic Rockers Foreigner

Happy Thursday,

It is a beautiful day out today. The weather is a bit breezy, but this is my favorite type of day. Kind of makes you want to go on a nice walk with a friend. Kristine Rommel’s career is on a steady climb upwards.

On Sunday, August 29, Foreigner came into Wilkes Barre to perform at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The show was perfect for closing out the Hot Summer Fun Concerts at the casino and Kristine couldn’t agree more. “I have been a longtime fan of Foreigner and their show was incredible,” Rommel commented. After the show Rommel got to meet the band. The members of Foreigner and Kristine instantly connected through their music careers. After learning about Kristine’s career each member of the band was enthusiastic about listening to Kristine’s debut album Choose To Fly.

Kristine also connected with Michael G. Stanton of The River 105.1 FM. Michael was impressed with her CD and passed it onto the Programming Director. If you want to hear Kristine’s songs on radio be sure to call up your local station request line.

I could not have risen so quickly through the charts without all the support and votes from my fans. I am so thankful for every one of your votes. I am confident that with your continued support "Falling Into You” will reach no. 1.”

We brought “Choose To Fly,” to the #1 spot and stayed in that spot for a solid 30 days. Let’s make it happen again with “Falling Into You.” To cast your vote for “Falling Into You,” go to http://www.IndieHeaven.com./Top20 and http://www.indieheaven.com/Fanfaves. Vote 5 stars!

Pocono Songstress Speaks with Country Legend

Good Evening Bloggers,

This week wasn’t to great, but today the sun is shining and the weather is perfect. Hopefully, this will stick around for the weekend. Friday, August 20 the weather was beautiful and it held well into the night for the Randy Travis concert at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The bright stars of the night made for a perfect backdrop as Travis performed for the crowd that evening. Kristine Rommel was part of the crowd that evening and she had the opportunity after the show to compare notes with the Country Legend himself. Rommel commented on meeting Travis, “He is such a humble individual. When I handed him my CD he was actually interested in learning more about it,” she recalled, “he wanted to know where I recorded in Nashville and the producers who worked on my album. Coming from a legend such as himself, I felt very honored.”

Rommel’s music career has truly lead to some notable memories over the past few months. To recall a few, “Choose To Fly,” hit No. 1 for the whole month of May on IndieHeaven.com’s Top 20 Countdown. The Top 20 on IndieHeaven.com is purely fan based and that meant a great deal to Rommel. “I will never forget what it felt like knowing that so many people enjoyed hearing my music, “ Rommel commented.

Well bloggers that is all I have for this beautiful night, but be on the lookout because do I have a secret to share. Until next time J

Getting To Know Kristine Rommel

Hey Followers,

I wanted to involve Kristine in a more personal blog this week. This week I did a short five question interview with Kristine. She and I want fans to be able to connect with her on a personal level. These questions allow some background behind Kristine and how her career in the Coast Guard played a role making her decision to pursue her music career.

What is it like serving in the Coast Guard?

For me, joining the Coast Guard was one of the smartest decisions I have made in my life. Through the Coast Guard I have gained courage, confidence, tools and useful skills, which I have utilized in my everyday life. It challenges me to push to the limit and succeed. I had a great opportunity to sing at NASCAR in my Coast Guard uniform. After singing for over 100,000 race car fans on several occasions I knew that I was ready to record my own CD.

What was it like working with Watson & Nash?

Let me just say that I can't wait to work with them again. I can't even put I into a small paragraph how much confidence I have in their ability as producers. Their input was a key factor in bringing out the artist in me. Working with Joe and Shay was a wonderful gift.

What do you want fans to take away from “Choose To Fly?”

“Choose To Fly” tells a story about a foster child who turned to God and found strength, love, forgiveness and a personal level of success. In my life I have met so many people who don’t know how to overcome their personal struggles or their past. I am here to say learn from your past or your struggles and make your life beautiful. Take a leap of faith. My hope is that Choose to Fly will inspire, motivate and heal anyone who seeks it through music.

Favorite Place to Vacation?

Anywhere I can bring my children with me. My family is very important to me. I love spending time with my entire family when I can.

What is one thing you want fans to know about you?

I truly believe that God makes beauty from ashes and my life is a strong testimony to this statement.

I hope you now know a little bit more about Kristine than you did before. Do you have any questions you would like to ask Kristine? If so please leave a comment or email me at kempchinskyc@yahoo.com

Until next time bloggers, keep those ears entertained.

Cheers,

Kristine Rommel Performs for Mayor Michael Bloomberg

Good Afternoon Bloggers,

Wow, is the weather blistering hot here. Over the past couple of weeks the weather has been climbing well into the 80’s and beyond. If you have a pool you are one lucky dog. Kristine Rommel had the honor of a lifetime when asked to perform for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

During Fleet Week 2010, Rommel performed The National Anthem for Mayor Bloomberg and fellow service men and women. Kristine commented, “Singing The National Anthem at the Mayoral Welcome was a great honor. I am grateful and humbled to perform for Mayor Bloomberg and our fellow service members. Being a native New Yorker, performing for the Mayor of my home state is a career high water mark for sure. Mayor Bloomberg was a very gracious host to the men and women of the armed forces,” she declared.

An interesting tidbit of information on Kristine, she has spent 19 years within the US Coast Guard. The Coast Guard has helped her immensely throughout her career as it has taught her strong determination to achieve her goals. “Being a part of the US Coast Guard is something I have always been very proud of,” she begins “I have 19 years under my belt. I am excited to have completed this journey I began almost 20 years ago,” Rommel concluded on her time in the service.

Bloggers, I would love to hear about your experiences if maybe you attended Fleet Week 2010 or any of the prior years. Also, please leave questions for Kristine. This is a blog were we ant fans to be able to connect one on one.

Until next time bloggers, keep those ears entertained.

Comfort Cafe Features Kristine Rommel

Hello Bloggers,

Just got back yesterday from my trip down South and have lots to share about the latest news on Kristine Rommel. Kristine is now featured on Comfort Café. Comfort Cafe offers hope, help, and healing to women facing physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. The site talks about her album and provides lyrics to three of her songs from her debut album Choose To Fly. Rommel commented on her feature “I am very honored to be apart of their music section.” I know what my next lyrics to my followers on Twitter will be shortly.

The title “Healing Music” given by Comfort Café to Kristine’s music is one that fits. “Choose To Fly” is about the personal battle Rommel faced as she grew up. Her childhood wasn’t the best as her and her sisters were taken into foster homes. Whenever I listen to the soulful words of her single “Choose To Fly” I become empowered by the words lyrics “We were given wings but we have to Choose To Fly.” Just this line alone motivates me to work a little harder that day whether listening at work or at the gym. Rommel commented on the acceptance of her hit single, “Choose To Fly is my anthem, my way of life and my way of thinking pertaining to obstacles, hardship and finding good in everything. God has given everyone of us a gift. We have to make a mental decision to recognize our gift and choose to use it.”

Bigger news is on the way for next time so stay tuned. As always bloggers keep those ears entertained.

Cheers,
