Pocono Songstress Speaks with Country Legend

Good Evening Bloggers,

This week wasn’t to great, but today the sun is shining and the weather is perfect. Hopefully, this will stick around for the weekend. Friday, August 20 the weather was beautiful and it held well into the night for the Randy Travis concert at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The bright stars of the night made for a perfect backdrop as Travis performed for the crowd that evening. Kristine Rommel was part of the crowd that evening and she had the opportunity after the show to compare notes with the Country Legend himself. Rommel commented on meeting Travis, “He is such a humble individual. When I handed him my CD he was actually interested in learning more about it,” she recalled, “he wanted to know where I recorded in Nashville and the producers who worked on my album. Coming from a legend such as himself, I felt very honored.”

Rommel’s music career has truly lead to some notable memories over the past few months. To recall a few, “Choose To Fly,” hit No. 1 for the whole month of May on IndieHeaven.com’s Top 20 Countdown. The Top 20 on IndieHeaven.com is purely fan based and that meant a great deal to Rommel. “I will never forget what it felt like knowing that so many people enjoyed hearing my music, “ Rommel commented.

Well bloggers that is all I have for this beautiful night, but be on the lookout because do I have a secret to share. Until next time J

As always bloggers, keep those ears entertained,

Getting To Know Kristine Rommel

Hey Followers,

I wanted to involve Kristine in a more personal blog this week. This week I did a short five question interview with Kristine. She and I want fans to be able to connect with her on a personal level. These questions allow some background behind Kristine and how her career in the Coast Guard played a role making her decision to pursue her music career.

What is it like serving in the Coast Guard?

For me, joining the Coast Guard was one of the smartest decisions I have made in my life. Through the Coast Guard I have gained courage, confidence, tools and useful skills, which I have utilized in my everyday life. It challenges me to push to the limit and succeed. I had a great opportunity to sing at NASCAR in my Coast Guard uniform. After singing for over 100,000 race car fans on several occasions I knew that I was ready to record my own CD.

What was it like working with Watson & Nash?

Let me just say that I can't wait to work with them again. I can't even put I into a small paragraph how much confidence I have in their ability as producers. Their input was a key factor in bringing out the artist in me. Working with Joe and Shay was a wonderful gift.

What do you want fans to take away from “Choose To Fly?”

“Choose To Fly” tells a story about a foster child who turned to God and found strength, love, forgiveness and a personal level of success. In my life I have met so many people who don’t know how to overcome their personal struggles or their past. I am here to say learn from your past or your struggles and make your life beautiful. Take a leap of faith. My hope is that Choose to Fly will inspire, motivate and heal anyone who seeks it through music.

Favorite Place to Vacation?

Anywhere I can bring my children with me. My family is very important to me. I love spending time with my entire family when I can.

What is one thing you want fans to know about you?

I truly believe that God makes beauty from ashes and my life is a strong testimony to this statement.

I hope you now know a little bit more about Kristine than you did before. Do you have any questions you would like to ask Kristine? If so please leave a comment or email me at kempchinskyc@yahoo.com

Until next time bloggers, keep those ears entertained.

Cheers,

Chelsea
